SAMBA : Shemford Futuristic School, in collaboration with the Nations Development Association (NDA) affiliated with MyBharat-NYK Jammu under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, celebrated International Women’s Day with immense enthusiasm and zeal. The event, themed “Women of Wonders,” was dedicated to honoring the remarkable achievements of women across various fields.Event was graced by distinguished women from different walks of life, Ms. Mamta Singh, President of Nari Shakti and a former President of BJP, is a passionate social activist and a beacon of inspiration for women, empowering the community through her tireless work and leadership. Dr. Poonam Manyal, a dedicated government doctor, exemplifies the commitment and compassion of women in healthcare, tirelessly serving the community with professionalism and care.Ms. Rekha Mahajan, a prominent BJP leader and social activist, has made significant contributions to politics and social reform, demonstrating the profound impact of women in shaping society.Ms. Kussum Chib, JKAS Officer, serves as an inspiration to all, showcasing women’s leadership and resilience in the public service sector, advocating for change and progress.
Prof. Dr. Indra Moza, a former Principal of the Government Nursing College and Principal of Acharya Shri Chander College of Nursing Education, has contributed immensely to education and healthcare, demonstrating the power of women in shaping the future of education. Ms. Mansi Rattan, Founder of Samba Sakhi, a social entrepreneur, has shown the power of women in driving positive change in their communities through her work in empowering other women. Ms. Meenu Singh Slathia, former J&K Women’s Team Captain, continues to inspire young women in sports, demonstrating dedication and leadership both on and off the field. Ms. Yogita Sharma, Founder of Elite Law Institute, and the school’s first former Principal, is a true inspiration, exemplifying excellence in the field of education and law
Ms. Deepa Chaudhary, a renowned philanthropist, showcases the incredible strength of women in giving back to society through her selfless contributions to various causes. Prof. Devinder Kour, Vice Principal of ASCOM, stands as a role model for her commitment to education, guiding and inspiring future generations of students. SI Rashmi Chaudhary, the only female officer in the Narcotics Control Bureau, exemplifies strength, dedication, and perseverance in law enforcement, breaking barriers and inspiring others in a male-dominated field. These inspiring women shared their life stories, challenges, and accomplishments, motivating the students, parents, and teachers present. The event was further enriched with captivating performances by students and teachers, including songs and dance. As a token of appreciation, the esteemed guests were felicitated with mementos, bouquets, and sashes by the Headmistress, Ms. Sushma Sharma. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks and a commitment to continue celebrating the spirit of womanhood.
