SSP SAMBA HOLDS PCPG MEETING IN RAMGARH
Samba, December 25: In order to reduce the gap between general public and police as well as to strengthen Police-Public relationship, SSP Samba Virinder Singh Manhas today held a Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting in the premises of Police Station Ramgarh. The meeting saw the participation of BDC Chairman Ramgarh, DDC member Ramgarh, Vice Chairman Municipal Committee Ramgarh and large number of prominent citizens from Ramgarh and adjoining border villages Nandpur, Dug, Koulpur, Dubaj, Jerda and Rangoor
The objective of the meeting was to discuss/acquaint with the problems of the general public of the area and to develop a sense among the general public that Police is committed for the safety & security of its citizens and is very much concerned to readdress their genuine issues.
During the meeting, SSP assured the participants about the commitment of District Police Samba to its fight against the crime and to provide safe and secure environment to the law abiding people.
SSP Samba warned strict action against the people indulging in drug trafficking, bovine smuggling and other criminal activities. Besides this, SSP appealed the participants to cooperate and assist the Police to weed out the menace of drug abuse from society and highlighted the role of parents in this regard.
SSP Samba urged upon the public residing in the border villages to remain alert and inform Police about any suspicious movement, drone sighting or any incident of seeing objectionable object in their areas.
During the course of meeting, SSP Samba patiently heard the problems/issues highlighted by the participants and assured them that their genuine problems shall be redressed. At last chairing Police officer thanked the participants for sparing their valuable time to attend the meeting. On the occasion, SDPO Vijaypur, DySP DAR Samba, SHO PS Ramgarh and other Police Officers were also present.
