SSP Samba Holds Security Review Meeting for the Upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2024
Samba, June 17: Senior Superintendent of Police Samba, Vinay Kumar-JKPS, chaired a crucial joint security review meeting today at District Police Headquarters Samba in preparation for the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2024. The meeting saw the participation of officers from the Army, BSF, IB, CID, GRP, HG/CD, alongside all Supervisory Officers and SHOs of Samba Police.In his opening address, SSP Samba extended a warm welcome to all the attending officers and provided an overview of the security arrangements put in place by the Police for the smooth and peaceful conduct of SANJY-2024. The meeting delved into the proposed deployment in detail, focusing on various security-related issues. Officers from different security agencies shared their insights on the current security scenario and the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2024.Emphasizing the need for heightened alertness, exemplary teamwork, and real-time intelligence sharing, all officers were tasked with thwarting any malicious intentions of Anti-National Elements and their collaborators across the IB. SSP Samba underscored the importance of 24×7 vigilance at NHW Nakas, activation of Highway Patrol Vehicles, reinforcement of Border Nakas, joint Nakas & area domination with Army/CAPF, and the positioning of QRTs at strategic locations round the clock.Furthermore, SSP Samba instructed the intensification of patrolling/surveillance along potential infiltration routes and the establishment of random night nakas/ambushes at vulnerable locations. SHOs and Supervisory Officers were directed to prioritize the verification of hotels, restaurants, lodgements, tenants, and outsider laborers near the IB. SDPOs/SHOs were tasked with conducting a census of Dhabas on NHW, areas surrounding lodgement centers and langer sites.In conclusion, SSP Samba urged all officers to maintain heightened vigilance and coordination during the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, stressing the importance of close collaboration to counteract the agendas of Anti-National and Anti-Social Elements.
