SSP Udhampur visits Ramnagar; interacts with students/prominent citizens and also addresses darbar of officers & Jawans
Senior Superintendent of Police Udhampur Sh. Joginder Singh-JKPS visited Government Higher Secondary School Ramnagar and held interaction with students. The interaction was a step towards nurturing their dreams and providing them with the necessary guidance and support to achieve their goals.The focus of these discussions was to instill a sense of confidence and determination in the students, encouraging them to believe in their potential and work towards realizing their dreams.Students were also made aware about drug abuse and its harmful effects. The staff members of school were also briefed about their role and responsibility to protect the students from drug addiction and to detect early warning signs of drug abuse. The students were also briefed about career building, obey the traffic rules and being law abiding. They were also advised to make their future career bright instead of indulging in drug abuse. Thereafter, SSP Udhampur presided over an impressive police – public meet at Ramnagar in which SDPO Sh Vishal Manhas and SHO Insp Sohan Singh along a large number of prominent citizens/youths/general public were present. By and large People expressed satisfaction with the working of Police in Ramnagar,however, some participants also put forth their grievances/suggestions for betterment and welfare of the public of the area. They raised issues like traffic congestion in Ramnagar town, menace of drugs, distillation and sale of illicit liquor in far –off areas and demanded regular patrols, surveillance to check eve-teasing.Later, SSP Udhampur also conducted Darbar at police Station Ramnagar, during darbar a number of officers/ Jawans put-forth their personal/ collective grievances. SSP listen to the grievance of officials patiently and assured them that their genuine grievance will be redressed on merits.He advised them to take care of their health by doing regular exercise and taking healthy and hygienic diet. He also briefed the nafri and directed them to exhibit honesty, integrity & credibility while serving the people.
