Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 set new Bench Marks: First week collection is Rs 280-290 crore nett range
Sunny Deol’s blockbuster film Gadar 2 has been released in theaters on Friday i.e. 11th August. This film has earned a bumper on the opening day itself. In such a situation, now Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel are enjoying the success of Gadar 2.

In just two days, this film has created a riot by earning 83 crores. At the same time, now for the first time Sunny Deol has revealed Sunny’s reaction regarding the movie and its collection.
The Anil Sharma directorial earned a staggering nett collection of Rs 55.40 crore on the Independence Day holiday, which is the highest collections in the past two decades. The movie is looking to wrap up its first week collection in the Rs 280-290 crore nett range, which will be the second highest collection after Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan. Going by the mass hysteria, Gadar 2 is likely to hold its ground strong in its second week as well.

These days Sunny Deol is getting bloated with the success of his film. In a recent conversation with Times Now, Sunny spoke her heart out about the movie. Sharing his experience, Sunny said, ‘I am really very happy. When we thought of making Gadar 2, we had no idea at that time that it would get so much love from the audience. Come to Gadar, you see, two generations have passed, but the love of the people has not diminished. As much as the audience liked the first film, they are doing the second one as well. I am very surprised and also happy. We need some hit films to sustain the film industry.
On Monday, the Gadar 2 team held a press conference about the film’s huge success. Sharing how he initially reacted seeing the audience’s love for Gadar 2, Sunny said, “I was quite stressed before the release of the movie. When the movie was released, I cried and laughed the entire night. My father was around and he saw me. I told him, ‘I have not had alcohol. Main khush aa main ki kara (I am happy, what can I do)’.”
Gadar 2 has set a new benchmark in Indian cinema by shattering records at the box office.
