Terrorists involved in Bhaderwah encounter will be neutralized soon: DIG Ramban-Doda Range, Shridhar Patil
DIG Ramban-Doda Range, Shridhar Patil, provided details on a recent eíncounter with terrorists in the Chattergala area of Bhaderwah, Jammu and Kashmir. According to Patil, the incident began when the security forces’ check post observed suspicious movements late at night. Upon challenging the suspected terrorists, an exchange of fire ensued and lasted for approximately one and a half hours. The security forces, comprising both army and police personnel, engaged the terrorists bravely.Following the firefight, a thorough search operation was initiated in the challenging terrain, which is both hilly and forested. The operation involves a coordinated effort between the army and the Special Operations Group (SOG) police. Additionally, the Kathua police have been brought in to assist due to the area’s proximity to Kathua, facilitating a joint search operation.Patil mentioned that while the exact number of terrorists involved remains unconfirmed, indications suggest the presence of a group. One policeman sustained injuries during the exchange. Despite the challenges, the security forces are actively tracking the movements of the terrorist group and are confident of neutralizing the threat soon.
