The Government has a policy of zero tolerance against terrorism and the security situation has improved significantly in Jammu and Kashmir. The terrorist-initiated incidents in J&K from the year 2019 to 2023 are 579 while 818 terrorists were killed during the same period and 247 security personnel lost their lives during the same period.
