A severe cloudburst at 12:30 AM on August 4 at Cheerwan in Kangan caused significant disruptions on the Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumri road leading to Ladakh, blocking the route at three locations. The BRO Project Beacon 122 RCC/32 BRTF responded promptly by mobilizing personnel and machinery, successfully clearing two of the blocked sites to restore traffic flow.
