The National Commission for Scheduled Castes has taken Suo moto cognizance based on a news item that alleged the Karnataka Government utilised funds allocated under the Karnataka Scheduled Caste Sub Plan (SCSP) and Tribal Sub Plan (TSP) for implementing Five Guarantees Schemes. The commission has requested a detailed report on the matter within seven days.
