Two Non-Locals Shot at in Magam, condition Stable: Police
Srinagar, November 1 – Two non-local workers were injured after unidentified militants fired upon them in the Mazhama Magam area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Saturday evening.According to a senior police official, the incident took place near Mazhama, where the attackers targeted the two workers involved in the Jal Jeevan Project. They were immediately taken to a nearby hospital and later transferred to JVC Hospital, Bemina, Srinagar. Both are reported to be in stable condition.The injured individuals have been identified as:1. Usman Malik, son of M. Julfan Malik, resident of Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh (currently residing in Mazhama). Age 20, sustained a bullet injury in the right hand.2. Sofiyan, son of M. Inaam Ilyas, also from Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh (currently residing in Mazhama). Age 25, sustained a bullet injury in the right leg.Following the attack, security forces cordoned off the area to trace the assailants, and an investigation is underway.
