Unauthorized Absenteeism of 14 Employees in Sopore: ADC Orders Strict Action
Sopore, Nov 20: In a recent inspection, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Sopore, S.A. Raina, uncovered unauthorized absenteeism involving at least 14 employees of the Municipal Committee (MC). Taking serious note of the matter, the ADC directed the Executive Officer (EO) of the Municipal Committee to seek explanations from the absent employees and initiate necessary disciplinary actions, including the deduction of half a day’s salary.
The EO has been instructed to submit an Action Taken Report (ATR) within two days.
The inspection also revealed serious irregularities in the attendance register. It was found that two officials had marked attendance for employees who were not present. Both officials have been attached to the office of Tehsildar Watergam pending the completion of an inquiry.
The ADC emphasized the importance of maintaining discipline and accountability in the workplace, warning that such lapses would not be tolerated in the future.
Further investigations are underway to ensure strict adherence to administrative protocols.
