Vehicle carrying polling staff rolled down into a gorge: 2 died, 1 injured

A tragic accident occurred in the Reasi district’s Mahore sub-division when a vehicle carrying polling staff rolled down into a gorge near Tukson Jabbara Morh. The vehicle, bearing registration number JK11A 3907, was en route for election duty when it plunged about 100 meters into a stream. Two individuals, including Constable Ajaz Khan from the Indian Reserve Police (IRP) and the driver, Javed Ahmed of Khour village, died on the spot. A third individual, Ajay Kumar, the Election Zonal Magistrate, was seriously injured but is reported to be in stable condition. The polling staff was on its way to review election preparations when the unfortunate accident occurred.
