Village Defence Guards opened fire after spotting suspicious movement near a political activist’s home in Rajouri
In Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, a group of Village Defence Guards (VDGs) opened fire after spotting suspicious movement near the home of a political activist in the village of Meira-Nagrota late on Monday night told officials on Tuesday. The incident occurred approximately eight kilometers from the district headquarters. The guards noticed two unidentified individuals near the activist’s house, prompting them to fire.Following the gunfire, security forces cordoned off the area and conducted extensive searches, but there was no trace of the suspects. The search operation has been extended to neighboring villages.
