Violent Attack on Police Team in Kathua: Six Policemen Injured

In a tense and violent incident on Saturday morning, a police team was attacked in Nagri, Kathua district. The altercation left six policemen, including the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), injured. Among the injured is also a female police officer. In response, a heavy police force has been deployed in the area to maintain law and order.The conflict erupted when a team of police and administration officials went to Kalyanpur Padri, adjacent to Nagri tehsil, to remove illegal constructions on government land. During the operation, they were attacked by individuals from a particular community. The police resorted to firing in the air to control the escalating situation.Following the incident, the injured were promptly taken to the district hospital, where they are currently receiving treatment. The situation in the area remains tense, prompting senior police and administrative officials to monitor the situation closely. The deployment of additional police forces aims to prevent further escalation and ensure the safety of the community.
