Vivek Bali Slams Farooq Abdullah for Alleging Security Forces’ Collusion with Terrorists
Srinagar, 13 Aug 24:- Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah has ignited a fresh controversy with his recent statement suggesting that the Indian Army is in collusion with terrorists in the region. Abdullah made these comments while addressing National Conference (NC) workers in Kishtwar district, raising questions about the army’s effectiveness in preventing infiltration along the borders.
“Despite the massive troop deployment on our borders, which could arguably be the largest in the world, terrorists continue to infiltrate into Indian territory. Yeh sab mile hue hain hamari barbadi ke liye (They are colluding to destroy us),” Abdullah remarked.
The statement has drawn sharp criticism from Janata Dal (United) State General Secretary Vivek Bali, who denounced Abdullah’s comments as baseless and irresponsible. Bali accused Abdullah of routinely making controversial statements that are often dismissed due to their outlandish nature.
“Farooq Abdullah often makes such statements. He is famous for speaking nonsense, and no one takes his statements seriously,” Bali asserted. “His insinuations of collusion between our honorable Indian Army and terrorists are not only unfounded but also a grave insult to the brave men and women who sacrifice their lives to protect our nation.”
Bali’s strong response highlights the deep-seated respect for the Indian Army’s role in safeguarding the nation, especially in a region as sensitive as Jammu and Kashmir. The controversy underscores the ongoing tensions and the complex security challenges in the area, as well as the delicate nature of public discourse surrounding these issues.
