Watch the Video: Enemy Nation Trying to Disrupt Peace in J&K: LG Sinha on Rajouri Day

Rajouri, Apr 13: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday said that an “enemy nation” continues to send terrorists to disrupt peace in Jammu and Kashmir, as he urged collective efforts to eradicate terrorism and its ecosystem. Though he didn’t name Pakistan, his remarks came during his address at a function marking Rajouri Day.
Paying tribute to the soldiers and civilians who liberated Rajouri on this day in 1948, Sinha called for greater vigilance and unity. “The Indian Army, CAPFs, J&K Police and the public must work together to eliminate terrorism and its sympathisers,” he said.
Sinha was joined by Lt General MV Suchindra Kumar, GOC-in-C Northern Command, Lt General PK Mishra of White Knight Corps, army veterans, and senior civil and security officials at the event.
Highlighting the importance of peace for development, Sinha said, “Only when there is peace and stability can development be achieved.” He emphasized isolating divisive forces and reinforcing the fight against terror.
Honouring the legacy of bravehearts like Lt Ram Raghoba Rane and Brigadier Mohammad Usman, he said their courage and sacrifice continue to inspire the nation. “Rajouri is a symbol of invincible strength and unity, and this day reminds us of the sacrifices made for our integrity and sovereignty.”
The event also saw the release of a special postal cover commemorating 77 years of Rajouri’s liberation, alongside cultural displays and an acrobatic motorcycle performance by security forces.
