World Toilet Day Celebrated at Samba with Focus on Sanitation Awareness
Samba, November 19, 2024: The District Administration Samba under the guidance of Deputy Commisioner Shri Rajesh Sharma, in collaboration with the Office of the Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, celebrated World Toilet Day today at the District Administrative Complex, Samba to raise awareness about the importance of sanitation and the use of toilets for improving public health and livelihoods.
Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Shri Jugal Kishore Sharma, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and was accompanied by MLAs Shri Surjit Singh Salathia (Samba), Shri Chander Prakash Ganga (Vijaypur), and Shri Devinder Kumar Manyal (Ramgarh).
Highlighting the commitment towards sanitation, sanction letters under the Individual Household Latrine (IHHL) Scheme were distributed to seven(07) beneficiaries followed by a special Signature Campaign.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Jugal Kishore Sharma emphasized the need for collective efforts to achieve the objectives of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
The participating dignitaries reiterated the importance of public involvement in maintaining hygiene and ensuring a cleaner environment.
