3 ARRESTED FOR ILLEGAL HOARDING, SALE OF DIESEL OIL BY POLICE

Samba, May 12: Police has arrested three persons for illicit hoarding and sale of diesel oil alongside National Highway near Nandani Chowk, Samba and has seized around 65 litrs of illicit diesel.

A police party of Police Station Samba while on patrolling duty, found some persons indulged in illegal storing and sale/purchase of diesel oil near Nandani Chowk, Samba.

The accused persons identified as Vijay Singh S/O Bhag Singh R/O Awankha Tehsil and District Gurdaspur (Punjab) A/P Samba, Balbir Singh S/O Kamal Singh R/O Ghot Khurd, District Gurdaspur (Punjab) A/P Samba and Sukh Ram S/O Kala Ram R/O Chaliyadi Kalan Tehsil Rajpura District Samba have been arrested. Police has recovered about 65 litres of illegally stored diesel oil from their possession.

A case FIR No.137/2024 U/S 3/7 Essential Commodities Act has been registered at Police Station Samba and investigation is underway.
