3 DRUG PEDDLERS NABBED WITH 15 GRAMS HEROIN LIKE SUBSTANCE BY POLICE

Samba, May 27: Continuing its drive against drug smugglers/peddlers, Police has arrested three drug peddlers in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bari Brahmana and recovered 15 grams approximately heroin like substance from their possession.

A Police party of Police Station Bari Brahmana headed by SHO PS Bari Brahmana during vehicle checking naka established near SIDCO Chowk Bari Brahmana, intercepted a swift car bearing registration No. JK06B-9815 moving from Sarore Adda Bari Brahmana towards Jammu side for its checking. During checking, 15 grams approximately heroin like substance was recovered from the possession of persons sitting in the car. The arrested drug peddlers have been identified as Mohammad Alyas S/o Mohd Yaqoob R/o Khanyalkote Thandmandi district Rajouri, Lovneet Anand S/o Arun Anand R/o Rajouri and Tariq Hussain S/o Mohd Abdullah Sheikh R/o Thatri Doda. In this regard, a case FIR No. 66/2024 U/S 8/21/22/25/29 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Bari Brahmana. Further investigation of the case is going on.
