65 bottles of illicit liquor recovered by PS Akhnoor Jammu: One bootlegger arrested

An information was received at PS Akhnoor regarding a person selling illicit liquor in the area under the jurisdiction of PS Akhnoor. After this special police teams of PS Akhnoor led by SHO PS Akhnoor established a naka at Maira Mandrian and rounded up a suspected person who was on his way from Shangani towards Maira Mandrian. During search, 65 bottles of illicit liquor of 180 ml each got recovered from his possession. In this regard, FIR No.346/2023 U/s 48-a, Excise Act has been registered at PS Akhnoor and accused got arrested. The accused person was identified as Girdhari Lal S/o Shanka Ram R/o Tung Tehsil Bhalwal District Jammu. Further investigation of the case is going on.
