SAMBA POLICE ORGANIZES FOUR DAYS TRAINING PROGRAMME ON eDAR AND PM RAHAT SCHEME

Samba: April 23, 2026: Samba Police organized a four-days training programme on eDAR and PM RAHAT Scheme for all Supervisory Officers, SHOs, Incharges PPs, Incharges BPPs and other Investigating Officers at the Conference Hall, DPO Samba.

The programme was formally inaugurated by the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Samba Sh. Anuj Kumar, IPS. The initiative aims to strengthen the understanding of technological and procedural aspects related to eDAR and PM RAHAT Scheme.

During the inaugural session, the resource person, DRM NIC Samba, delivered a comprehensive presentation on the importance of timely and accurate feeding of various forms in the eDAR system. Emphasis was laid on maintaining data integrity, improving efficiency in accident reporting and ensuring seamless coordination among stakeholders.

The session also included a detailed overview of the PM RAHAT scheme, highlighting its objectives, eligibility criteria and the procedure for extending financial assistance to the road accident victims. The resource person elaborated on the role of Investigating Officers including SHOs in time bound response in life threating and non-life threating road accident cases.

The SSP Samba, while addressing the participants, stressed the importance of adopting modern digital tools and adhering to prescribed timelines to enhance transparency and accountability in policing. He encouraged officers to actively engage in the training sessions and apply the knowledge gained in their day-to-day police functioning.
