SAMBA POLICE ARRESTS 03 DRUG PEDDLERS WITH 3.78 GRAMS HEROIN LIKE SUBSTANCE
Samba: April 23, 2026: Intensifying its drive against drug smugglers/peddlers in the ongoing Nasha Mukt Abhiyan, Samba Police has arrested three drug peddlers in the jurisdiction of Police Station Vijaypur and recovered approximately 3.78 grams heroin-like substance (Chitta) from their possession.
A Police team of Police Station Vijaypur during vehicle checking naka on link road towards Rakh Barotian near AIIMS residential complex Vijaypur, intercepted one scooty bearing regd. No JK02DT-1246 for checking.
During checking, approximately 3.78 grams of heroin-like substance (Chitta) was recovered from the possession the three persons riding on the said scooty.
The drug peddlers identified as Rahul Sharma S/o Bodh Raj Sharma R/o Kot Balwal district Jammu, Sanju Bhagat S/o Yash Paul R/o Nai Basti district Jammu and Nirmal Kumar S/o Prittam Chand R/o Kot Balwal district Jammu have been arrested. The contraband item alongwith scooty has also been seized.
A case FIR No.64/2026 U/S 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Vijaypur and investigation started.
