DC Samba reviews arrangements forthcoming of Navratra, Ramnavami and Ramadan Festivals
SAMBA:- Deputy Commissioner, Samba Anuradha Gupta on today convened a meeting of officers of different departments and representatives of religious organisations to review the arrangements forthcoming festivals in District samba.
At the outset, the Pujaris and members of Mandirs and Shrines committees highlighted the issues related to the arrangements for smooth celebrations of Navratra festival.
During the meeting, issues including road connectivity, cleanliness, uninterrupted electricity, regular drinking water supply, security, medical facilities, traffic management, repair of high mast lights, check on the rates and quality of food items, repair of road and pit holes in District Samba and deployment of fire tenders, ambulance etc. were discussed in detail.
The DC directed the Executive engineer, PWD(R&D) Samba shall ensure repairs of roads and pits holes in District Samba to avoid inconvenience to the travelers during the festivals.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the engineers of PWD, RDD, Jal Shakti and PDD to ensure road connectivity, water supply and uninterrupted power supply to the shrines and temples during the forthcoming of Navratra, Ramnavami and Ramadan festival. He asked the Police authorities to provide adequate security arrangements.
The DC directed the Traffic authorities to ensure proper management of traffic during forthcoming festivals of Navratras, Ramnavami and Ramadan, while the ARTO was asked to place proper signboards for the convenience of the devotees and the ARTO Samba shall enhance number of Buses/Matadors from Utterbhani to Purmandal and also ARTO Samba shall ensure that buses should remain standy even late hours in the evening to ferry the pilgrims.
The DC directed the Divisional Fire Officer, Fire and Emergency Services, samba shall ensure that one fire tender is made available at Chichi Mata Tempal and other for Utterbhani/Purmandal.
She directed the Asstt. Director Floriculture, Samba shall ensure the supply of varieties of Flowers in all temples.
The Health Department was directed to keep sufficient provision for medicare for the visitors.
She also directed the enforcement committee for checking of adulteration quality-quantity of price of eatables fruit and other consumers goods.
The Deputy Commissioner passed on spot instructions to the concerned department to redress the issues before the start of Navratra festival.
ADC Samba Rakesh Dubey, SDMs, representatives of mandir committees DIO and other concerned departments were also present.”
