Abhishek Sharma assumes charge as DC Samba
Holds introductory meeting; seeks focus on public services delivery, anti drug campaign, resolution of public grievances
SAMBA, APRIL 28: Abhishek Sharma today assumed charge as Deputy Commissioner (DC), Samba. Soon after assuming the charge, the DC chaired an introductory meeting with the district officers and sub-ordinate staff in the meeting hall of the DC office.
Speaking at the meeting, the DC exhorted officers and field functionaries to work with added dedication and honesty to take the present developmental scenario of the district to its higher levels.
The DC sought co-operation and commitment from all district officers to take the development profile of the district to zenith. He said “Our thrust should be on close monitoring of developmental works and welfare programmes at all levels and ensure resolution of the public issues in a time bound manner.”
Mr. Sharma also highlighted priorities for the district, including the identification and eradication of drug hotspots and ensuring border security. He further emphasized the government’s priority sectors such as digital literacy, self-employment and e- governance, and stressed the importance of a people-friendly administration.
Earlier, Additional District Development Commissioner Rajinder Singh, while welcoming the DC, assured of all possible support for smooth functioning of the district administration.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Sub Divisional Magistrates, Chief Planning Officer and other district officers besides sub-ordinate staff attended the meeting.
