Kathua, November 4 — The court of Additional Sessions Judge Kathua, Parveen Kumar Pandoh, has rejected the anticipatory bail plea of Pradeep Singh alias Pradeep Ambedkari, who was accused of making derogatory remarks against Hindu deities Lord Shri Ram, Goddess Sita, and Lord Hanuman.
A case had been registered against Ambedkari at Kathua Police Station under Section 299 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The team of lawyers from the Kathua Bar Association, representing the complainants along with Additional Public Prosecutor Rajesh Sharma, strongly opposed the bail plea.
The rejection of the anticipatory bail is being seen as a significant development in the case, underscoring the efforts of the legal community to ensure justice. The Kathua Bar Association’s leadership, including President Y.C. Katoch, Vice President Vikas Kant Gupta, General Secretary Abhishek Khajuria, and other members, played a crucial role in opposing the bail plea and pursuing the matter diligently.
