Dry Day declared from 30 May to 1 June and 4 June
In view of the Lok Sabha elections and Assembly by-elections in Himachal Pradesh, dry days have been declared from 30 May to 1 June and 4 June. During this period, there will be a complete ban on the sale of liquor in the state, that is, during this period all the liquor shops, premises and bars in the state will remain closed where liquor is sold and purchased. DCs of all the districts of the state have issued orders in this regard in their respective districts. Apart from this, special paid holiday has been declared on 1 June in the state. This special holiday has been declared in view of the Lok Sabha and Assembly by-elections in the state. Voting will take place in the state on 1 June. On the other hand, this dry day has been declared 48 hours before the voting, that is, from 30 May to 1 June till 6 pm on the day of voting, till the voting process is over. Apart from this, dry day will remain in the state till the completion of counting on 4 June so that free, fair and smooth execution of the election process can be ensured. During the dry day, there will be a ban on the sale and distribution of any kind of intoxicants like liquor etc. in hotels, dhabas, shops or other publicand private places. Strict legal action will be implemented against those who disobey the orders.
