Notorious Gangster Prashant Singh, Alias Prince, Killed in Police Encounter in Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow, June 6, 2024 — In a dramatic turn of events, Uttar Pradesh police have successfully neutralized the notorious gangster Prashant Singh, commonly known as Prince, in a late-night encounter. Singh, who had been absconding for seven years, was wanted in connection with the high-profile murder of a journalist and was implicated in over 38 criminal cases.

The encounter took place in the outskirts of Lucknow, where a special task force (STF) team tracked Singh to his hideout. Upon arrival, the police faced heavy gunfire from Singh and his accomplices. In the ensuing exchange, Singh was fatally shot.

Prashant Singh’s criminal career spanned nearly a decade, during which he was involved in a series of heinous crimes, including three murders and multiple dacoities. Despite numerous manhunts and a bounty on his head, Singh managed to evade capture for years, continuing his reign of terror across the state.

The successful operation marks a significant victory for the Uttar Pradesh police and brings solace to many of Singh’s victims and their families.
