To celebrate the programme during the ongoing campaign of “Meri Maati Mera Desh” as part a of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to pay tribute to the “Wariors” who laid down their lives for the country, Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav is a festival that honors the strong will of those who fight for freedom. Panch Pran pledge was organized at Bn. Hqrs. Nud Samba. Commandant IRP 12th Bn. (Sh. Abrar A. Chowdhary) administrated the oath to the officers/officials of the unit. During the oath ceremony all the officers/officials took a solemn pledge covering Panch Pran of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, affirming their commitment of dedication of work and development for the uplifting of the country and to shine the colonial mindset and organized a plantation drive in the unit.
Further, this unit has also organized a “SPECIAL TIRANGA MARCH” on 14.08.2023 at 11:00 hrs. from Bn. Hqrs. Nud Samba to Shah Balore and vise-versa. The “SPECIAL TIRANGA MARCH” was flagged off by the Unit Head under the theme “Meri Maati Mera Desh – Mitti ko Naman Veeron ko Vandan” as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahostav where in large number of students of surrounding schools along with local youth, Police officers/officials of this unit participated. The Sarpanch and Panches of the locality were also present on the occasion. During the said event, National flag Tiranga/Pamphlets and sweets were distributed among the school students/general public, officers/officials of this unit.
Speaking on the occasion, Unit head briefed regarding the vital importance of Independence, significance of National flag and role of freedom fighter who laid down their precious lives for the country. He thanked the school teacher/general public, officers/officials who actively participated to make the programme successful.
