Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, MLA Ramgarh and Former Minister for Health & Medical Education, J&K, graced a programme at RR Farm, Village Diani in Ramgarh Assembly Constituency as the Chief Guest. The event showcased Frontline Demonstrations on Wheat for Scheduled Caste Farmers, organised by Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Samba, Directorate of Extension, SKUAST-Jammu.
Dr. Sanjay Khajuria, Head KVK Samba, welcomed Dr. Manyal and briefed him on ongoing scientific interventions aimed at boosting wheat productivity through modern, technology-driven farming practices.
As part of the programme, Dr. Manyal distributed wheat seed bags to beneficiary farmers and lauded KVK Samba for its committed field-level outreach. He highlighted the importance of adopting improved seed varieties, advanced agronomic practices, and scientific methods to increase yield and strengthen the region’s agricultural economy.
Prominent attendees included Dr. Shalini Khajuria, Chetna Skolia (FPO DO), Former BDC Chairman Radha Sham, President Bainglar Narinder Singh Jamwal, President Rajpura Asha Rani, besides several former Sarpanchs and Panchs.
In his address, Dr. Manyal underscored the transformative reforms introduced under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, describing them as a driving force behind the ongoing revolution in India’s agriculture sector. He reiterated his commitment to farmer-centric development, infrastructure expansion, and continuous welfare initiatives across the Ramgarh Assembly Constituency.
