POLICE ORGANISED MEGA PATRIOTIC RALLY IN SAMBA AS PART OF “MERI MAATI, MERA DESH” PROGRAMME
SSP SAMBA BENAM TOSH ADMINISTERED PLEDGE OF ‘PANCH PRAN’
Samba, August 9 : Police today organised mega patriotic rally as part of “Meri Maati, Mera Desh” programme under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav from Samba town which concluded at historical Samba fort with pledge taking ceremony where SSP Benam Tosh administered the pledge of ‘panch pran’ to the thousands of prominent citizens, women, teachers, students, social activists, Police & Para military forces’ personnel.
Mega Patriotic rally started from Police Station Samba, passed through the main market and culminated at historical Samba fort which is also called as heart of Samba & symbolic of Samba pride. Thousands of people from all walks of life hailing from Samba town as well as different areas of Samba District including students of as many as ten schools and colleges, social activists, prominent citizens, women social workers, Officers & Officials of Police and Para Military Forces, Home Guard Personnel thronged the rally with great national fervour & gaiety and graced the grand national event. Patriotic songs, Band beating, National Flag and sloganeering of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ marked the occasion. Mega patriotic rally concluded with a grand pledge taking ceremony in which Senior Superintendent of Police Samba, Benam Tosh administered ‘Panch Pran’ pledge to the participants in the rally in Hindi which was followed by National Anthem.
SSP Samba Benam Tosh while interpreting the ingredients of the ‘Panch Pran’ pledge said that the main objective of organizing the mega patriotic rally and administering the oath as part of Meri Maati, Mera Desh under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav was to inspire one and all especially youth & students to become best performers as citizens of the country, strengthen unity, respect those who protect the country, celebrate our heritage, remove any trace of colonial mindset and make India developed and self-reliant. SSP Samba further informed that Samba Police is going to organize series of programmes between 9th and 30th of August 2023 at different places in samba district including mega patriotic cultural programmes & sports activities in border areas of Ramgarh and Samba sectors, rallies involving public and students under the jurisdictions of all Police Stations and Police Posts & other patriotic events at public places in which best performer shall be felicitated and martyrs will be remembered and ‘Panch Pran’ pledges would be administered.
