SAMBA POLICE APPREHENDED 7 GAMBLERS, SEIZED HUGE STAKE MONEY AMOUNTING TO RS 1.32 LAKH & PLAYING CARDS

Samba, Jan 23 : Samba Police has apprehended seven (07) gamblers red-handed on a specific tip off in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bari Brahmana and seized huge stake money to the tune of rupees 132090.00  and  playing  cards.

The apprehended gamblers have been identified as Devarka Nath s/o Ram Lal r/o Palli Bari Brahmana, Harnam Singh s/o Gandharb Singh r/o Kalu Chak district Jammu, Jinder Pal Singh s/o Shamsher Jang r/o Palli Bari Brahmana, Rajesh Kumar s/o Chand Ram r/o Sonipat (Haryana) A/P Bari Brahmana, Kuldeep Singh s/o Bhadur Chand r/o Bari Brahmana, Daleep Singh s/o Gandharb Singh r/o Bari Brahmana and Mohd. Arshad s/o Nazir Hussain r/o Bari Brahmana. 

Police had received information regarding illegal activity of gambling in Bari Brahmana area and as such police team of Police Station Bari Brahmana led by SDPO Bari Brahmana, ASP Mukund Tibrewal-IPS and SHO PS Bari Brahmana raided the gambling spot near Birpur Complex, Industrial area Bari Brahmana and apprehended seven gamblers red-handed while gambling alongwith stake money amounting to rupees 132090.00 and playing cards. Legal action under section 13 of Gambling Act has been taken by police against the said gamblers. Additional SSP Samba Surinder Choudhary is monitoring the legal procedure.
