SAMBA POLICE ARRESTED ONE MORE INTERSTATE HEROIN SMUGGLER INVOLVED IN SMUGGLING/FIRING CASE OF RANGOOR, RAMGARH
SIT comprising of 3 Gazetted Officers & 2 Inspectors conducting investigation in Rangoor Smuggling/Firing case : SSP Samba Benam Tosh
Samba, July 23 : Under the guidance of Senior Superintendent of Police Samba, Police has arrested one more interstate heroin smuggler involved in smuggling/firing case of Rangoor, Ramgarh, who was working as a guide at the time of midnight firing incident and had fled from the spot on Apache bike taking advantage of darkness .
He is the 4th top heroin smuggler arrested in Rangoor smuggling/ firing case and has been identified as Neeraj Jaswal alias Romi S/O Pawan Singh Jaswal R/O Khandwala Vikasnagar Amritsar Punjab.
Earlier on the intervening night of 11 and 12th of June 2023, immediately after the midnight firing incident at Rangoor under the jurisdiction of Police Station Ramgarh in Samba district, alert Samba police had arrested three top heroin smugglers at police naka at Radian, Ramgarh with heroin worth rupees 14 Cr approx., Rs 93200.00 cash & a pistol /ammunition while they were fleeing from the spot on a local person's bike leaving behind their Innova car at the scene of crime. However, taking 4th heroin smuggler Neeraj Jaswal, who was riding on Apache bike and was working as a guide of three smugglers, had fled from the spot taking advantage of darkness, but as Samba police had sounded alert, he was arrested by Punjab Police at a naka while he was fleeing from Samba. Now, Samba Police team deputed to Punjab has taken over custody of Neeraj Jaswal, he has been arrested in Rangoor smuggling/firing case and is being subjected to sustained interrogation.
Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh said that special investigation team (SIT) comprising of three gazetted Police officers Addl.SP Surinder Choudhary, DySP Ops Samba Garu Ram, SDPO Vijaypur Rohit Kumar & two Inspectors SHO Ramgarh Sudesh Kumar and Inspr Sham Lal, is conducting investigation in Rangoor smuggling/firing case, some more arrests are likely and case is on the verge of challan.
