Samba: April 21, 2026: Intensifying its drive against drug smugglers/peddlers in the ongoing Nasha Mukt Abhiyan, Samba Police has arrested a drug peddler in the jurisdiction of Police Station Vijaypur and recovered approximately 9.10 grams heroin-like substance (Chitta) from his possession.
A Police team of Police Station Vijaypur during patrolling near SBI Bank Vijaypur, intercepted a motorcycle bearing registration No. JK02CP-4926 which was coming from Samba side. During checking, approximately 9.10 grams of heroin-like substance (Chitta) was recovered from the possession the motorcyclist.
The drug peddlers identified as Shabir Ahmed S/o Gulam Qadir R/o Rakh Barotian tehsil Vijaypur district Samba has been arrested. The contraband item alongwith motorcycle has also been seized.
A case FIR No 61/2026 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Vijaypur and investigation started.
