SAMBA POLICE ORGANIZED GRAND EKTA DIWAS PARADE

SSP Samba Benam Tosh Administered Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledge

Samba, Oct 31 : Samba police today organized grand Ekta Diwas parade at District Police Lines (DPL) Samba where Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh took the salute at the march past and administered oath of unity to the different contingents of CISF, ITBP, IRP, District Police, SDRF, Women contingent, band party and students. DDC Chairman Keshav Dutt, Deputy Commissioner Samba Abhishek Sharma addressed the grand Ekta Diwas Parade and advised the participants to work towards unity, integrity and eternal security of the country. Additional DC Samba Suresh Sharma, Addl SP Samba Surinder Choudhary and all district officers of civil and police administration of district Samba were also present on the occasion. Deputy SP Garu Ram functioned as parade commander whereas Inspr. Kunti Khajuria functioned as Incharge ‘Rashtriya Dhwaj Toli’.Earlier in the morning, unity run was organized by District Administration and Police which culminated at DPL and their winners were honoured with medals.

Interpreting ingredients of the oath, Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh said that police assisted by the sister agencies play pivotal role in maintaining internal security, communal harmony, peace and tranquility and Jammu Kashmir Police personnel have been laying down their precious lives towards that end. SSP Samba further said that divisive forces shall be nipped in the bud and no one will be allowed to vitiate atmosphere in the district. He further said that there is age-old communal harmony & spirit of brotherhood in Samba district and people of all communities, castes, religions and regions are living amicably in Samba district and that not even a single case of communal nature has surfaced in the district during the current year.
