SAMBA POLICE SEIZES 3 VEHICLES INCLUDING 2 DUMPERS FOR ILLEGAL MINING
Samba, February 15 : In continuation to its drive against illegal mining, Samba Police has seized three vehicles including two dumpers in the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba & Police Station Ramgarh which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material.
A Police party of Police Post Mansar headed by Incharge Police Post Mansar while performing vehicle checking duty at naka Mansar has seized two Dumpers bearing regd. No. JK19A-7210 & No. JK21G-0036 for illegal mining/transportation in the area.
A Police party of Border Police Post Koulpur headed by Incharge Border Police Post Koulpur has intercepted a tractor trolley without regd. No. for checking at naka Koulpur. During checking, the driver of the said vehicle failed to produce valid document and was found illegally transporting construction material from Devak river bed.
The above mentioned vehicles have been seized by Samba Police and handed over to Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further action.
