SAMBA POLICE TAKES VIGOROUS ACTION, SEIZES 55 VEHICLES WITHOUT NUMBER PLATES/ UNCLAIMED VEHICLES.
Police Will Take Stern Legal Action Against Owners/Users Of Vehicles Having No Number Plates : SSP Samba Benam Tosh
Samba Dec 24 : Samba Police has taken vigorous action against vehicles plying without number plates / unclaimed vehicles and seized fifty five (55) vehicles including nine Cars, two load carriers, one Auto & forty three bikes at different locations in the district.
Four Cars, two load carriers and twenty six bikes have been seized by the alert police teams of Police Station Bari Brahmana, thirteen bikes & one Bolero Mahindra have been seized by police teams of Police Station Vijaypur, one Car & one bike have been seized by Police Station Samba, one Car & two bikes have been seized by Police Post Supwal, one Car seized by Police Post Goran, one bike seized by Police Station Ghagwal, one Passenger Auto seized by Police Station Ramgarh and one Car has been seized by Police Station Purmandal.
The seized vehicles were plying either without number plates or have been found unclaimed and therefore seized under relevant sections of law.
Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Toh has issued directions to all SDPOs, SHOs & I/C PPs of the district to ensure that no vehicle without proper number plate is plying in their areas of responsibilities and that stern legal action is taken against the owners/users of vehicles having no number plates. Moreover, directions have also been issued to immediately seized all unclaimed vehicles whenever found in the jurisdiction of any Police Station/Police Post.
