Police taking concrete action against heroin suppliers and thieves : Benam Tosh

Samba, Mar 9 : Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh today presided over ‘Thana Diwas’ at police station Ghagwal where hundreds of people including PRIs, prominent citizens and social activists besides police officers were present. SSP was accompanied by Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary, Dy.SP Hqrs Samba Mohd. Usman , SHO Ghagwal Bharat Bhushan and Chowki Officer Deepika Jalotra.

The prominent citizens of Ghagwal and adjoining areas who highlighted the burning issues included DDC member & Beopar Mandal President Suresh Kumar, DDC member Asha Rani, BDC Chairman Vijay Tagotra, Ex-MLA Hirangar Durga Dass, Sarpanch Tarsem Singh, Sarpanch Arpan Sharma, Ex-Sarpanch Avinesh Jasrotia, social activists Gita Devi, Rajesh Upadhay, Ram Pal Sharma, Master Charan Dass, Subash Chander, Master Kuldeep Singh and Jia Lal. 

In his address, SSP Samba Benam Tosh said that police is taking concrete action against heroin suppliers, eve teasers, thieves, smugglers and notorious criminals in Samba district and investigations are being conducted in highly professional manner with sincerity & dedication. He further said that police is committed to counter nacro-terrorism and will try their level best to completely eradicate the malice of drugs abuse from Samba soil with the cooperation of the people. Benam Tosh told that the intensive drive of police against thieves is going on and within short span of two months as many as forty eight thieves have been arrested and several cases have been worked out and will make all out efforts to work out other theft cases also. SSP directed the supervisory officers and SHO concerned to look into and resolve all issues raised by the public at the earliest. He hoped that people will come ahead to provide secret information to police with regard to narcotic supply and other wrongdoings in the society and assured the police will come up to the expectations of the people.

Thana Diwas was also organized at all the police stations where grievances of the people were listened to and issues raised were noted to be resolved on priority.
