Three Killed, Two Injured in Auto-Rickshaw and Bus Collision Near Katra

Katra, Jammu and Kashmir — Three people were killed and two others sustained injuries in a head-on collision between an auto-rickshaw and a bus near Serli village in Katra on Tuesday morning.

According to officials, the accident took place on the road connecting the helipad to Katra, which serves as a key route for pilgrims traveling to the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine. The auto-rickshaw, carrying pilgrims, reportedly collided with a bus approaching from the opposite direction.

Authorities stated that the auto-rickshaw driver and two passengers died on the spot, while two others were injured and rushed to a nearby medical facility for treatment. Police have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
