Weekly Block Diwas: ADDC Samba listens to public grievances at Pachayat Mawa, Block Rajpura
As a part of weekly Block Diwas programme, district Administration Samba today conducted a public outreach programme at Panchayat Ghar Mawa Block Rajpura to provide doorstep services to the people and address their grievances. ADDC Samba Rajinder Singh conducted the Block Diwas meeting in presence of Sarpanch of Mawa Pachayat and listened and addressed the public grievances put across by the Panchayat representatives and locals.
Public delegations and individuals from the adjoining Panchayats appraised the ADDC Samba regarding various issues demanded coverage of areas lacking tap water connections, improvement in power supply scenario, shortage of Electric Pole, maintenance and construction of rural roads, PMAY, coverage of left out families under social security schemes and other local issues.
The ADDC Samba, taking cognisance of the public demands, directed the line departments to share details on scheduled powers cuts, achievements recorded under different government sponsored schemes besides addressing the projected grievances. He asked the government functionaries to document the grievances of their respective departments and furnish the action taken report to her office.
Sharing detailed information about path breaking initiatives of the government, the ADDC encouraged the participants to avail online services of different departments.He also asked the people to avail benefits of Ayushman Scheme and a highly beneficial insurance scheme like Jeevan Surksha Yojna etc.
He assured that the highlighted issues of public importance will be taken up with higher authorities besides all the pendency and public service delivery slackness shall be reviewed thoroughly.
The ADDC laid emphasis upon effective public services delivery through online mode of revenue services including caste certificates, income certificates, domiciles, fards etc.
ADDC Samba said that the government has launched a holistic agriculture development programme in J&K. The conceptualization, formulation and approval of the massive transformative mission to reform agriculture and allied sectors in J&K.
The ADDC stated that the Kisan Sampark Abhiyan is a significant step towards achieving the goal of doubling farmer’s income. The programme will bridge the gap between farmers and the government and provide them with the necessary support and guidance to improve their farming practices.
“The programme will also provide a platform for farmers to interact with experts from the Agriculture Department and seek their advice on various aspects of farming, such as crop selection, soil management, pest control, and irrigation methods,’’he added
ADC, CMO, CEO Education, BDO, Tehsildar , Agriculture department, Tourism department, PDD, besides district and block level officers, PRI members and a large number of people were present at the programme.
