3 day training programme on Early Detection of Drug Abuse & post Detection Management began at SKC Degree College Poonch
POONCH, MARCH 16: Social Welfare Department today organized a three days training programme on Early Detection of Drug Abuse and Post Detection management for volunteers of youth clubs at New Auditorium of SKCGDC Poonch.
The programme was conducted in cooperation and active participation of NSS volunteers and NSS cadets of SKC Govt. Degree College Poonch under the guidance of Prof. Fateh Mohammad Abbasi and Prof. Yogesh Kumar Sharma and under the overall supervision of Principal SKC GDC Poonch, Dr.Jasbir Singh.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Tahir Mustafa Malik was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
During the programme, DSWO Mohinder Paul presented a welcome address and highlighted different issues associated with drug Abuse.
During the session, ADC Poonch spoke on early identification, treatment, rehabilitation, after-care and social reintegration techniques and other different issues associated with drug Abuse.
Prof. Fateh Mohd. Abassi, and other experts also briefed the ill effect of drugs and said the students away from drug abuse and war against Narco terrorism.
The lecture on Drug Abuse Were also deliverd by Mental Health Expert, Dr. Irfan baba and Dr. Tahfeez khan.
The training programme was attended by CDPO, Adil Shabir, Prof. Fateh Mohd. Abassi, Prof. Yogesh kumar Sharma, Prof. Sarfraz Mir, Tehsil Social Welfare Officer, Mohd. Azam Rather, experts, students of SKC Degree College Poonch and other education institutions.
