Kathua; 13 December:- Continuing its efforts against drug menace, J&K Police Kathua under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua Ms. Mohita Sharma IPS recovered approx. 6.64 grams of Heroin (Chitta) like narcotics in the jurisdictional area of PP Nagri, 01 drug peddler arrested and seized one Motorbike involved.

On 12-12-2025, acting on the intelligent input received through a reliable source, a Police team led by IC PP Nagri PSI Ravinder Thakur under the supervision of Addl. SP Kathua Sh. Rahul Charak JKPS, DySP Hqrs Kathua Sh. Ravinder Singh & SHO PS Kathua Insp. Sandeep Singh Chib laid down a special naka/ checking in its jurisdictional area intercepted one motorbike bearing Reg. No.JK08N-4315 enrouted from Saidpur towards Nagri and apprehended one person namely 1) Parvinder Singh S/O Gurmeet Singh R/o Ward No. 09 Kathua District Kathua who was having 6.64 grams of heroine like substance in his possession. The recovered contraband along with motorbike involved was seized and accused person was taken into police custody on spot. In this connection, further investigation is in progress vide FIR No. 593/2025 U/S 8/21/22/NDPS Act, PS Kathua.
