ARMY POSTAL SERVICE RELEASES FIRST DAY COVER TO MARK DIAMOND JUBILEE OF KALIDHAR BRIGADE

The Army Postal Service commemorated the Diamond Jubilee of the Kalidhar Brigade with the release of a specially designed First Day Cover (FDC) at Akhnoor. The release was the culmination of a series of events organised to honour the Brigade’s 60 years saga of valour, sacrifice and operational excellence.

The First Day Cover was unveiled by General Officer Commanding, Crossed Swords Division in presence of                                        Commander Kalidhar Brigade and gallant serving Army personnel. It symbolically captured the bravery and supreme sacrifices of soldiers who laid down their lives while defending our great nation. Designed to reflect Indian Army’s indomitable ethos, it features evocative illustrations of soldiers in action alongside national symbols, serving as a lasting tribute to the Brigade’s journey of last 60 years.  

The event concluded with a note of deep reverence and pride, reaffirming the nation’s unwavering gratitude to its soldiers. The courage, discipline and selfless dedication displayed by the men of Kalidhar Brigade stand as a timeless reminder of the Indian Army’s highest traditions. Their sacrifices, both in war and peace, will continue to inspire generations to come.
