New Delhi: A Delhi court has discharged Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia in the corruption case related to the alleged liquor policy scam, granting them significant legal relief.
In its order, the court made strong observations against the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), stating that the accused were implicated without sufficient material evidence.
The court further noted that the voluminous chargesheet contained several lacunae and that the allegations were not supported by any credible witness or statement.
The ruling is being seen as a major legal victory for both leaders. The decision has sparked fresh political reactions, and attention is now focused on the possibility of further legal proceedings or an appeal.
