Janipur police Station received a complaint that one Tanvir kumar had purchased an e-Rickshaw for a consideration of ₹5,00,000/- three days ago and had parked the said vehicle outside his residence at Sector no. 7 upper Roop nagar Shanti nagar near fortis lab, Janipur. On the morning of 10-02-2026, he found that the e-Rickshaw had been stolen.
Accordingly, a case FIR No. 20 of 2026 under the relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Janipur and investigation entrusted to PSI Vivek Daliya who along with SHO and other team members started the search promptly.
During the course of investigation, a dedicated police team was constituted.
The team, while using scientific methods and technical inputs, worked meticulously and successfully traced the stolen e-Rickshaw. As a result of sustained efforts and professional investigation, the stolen e-Rickshaw was recovered.
Pertinent to mention that theft have considerably decreased in sub division city west especially Janipur area while the theft recovery rate is also high among other jurisdictions of Jammu police.
Further investigation into the case is in progress.
