J&K POLICE ARRESTS 4 NOTORIOUS HEROIN PEDDLERS: RECOVERS 16 GMS HEROIN LIKE SUBSTANCE
Samba, May 9: Acting sternly against narcotics smugglers and suppliers, J&K Police has arrested four notorious heroin peddlers and recovered approximately 16 grams heroin like substance from their possession.
A police party of Police Station Vijaypur headed by SHO PS Vijaypur during special vehicle checking Naka established on NHW near Ishant Hotel Gurha Morh Vijaypur, intercepted a vehicle Harrier bearing registration No. JK02CQ-7365 coming from Jammu side for its checking. During checking, approximately 16 grams heroin like substance was recovered from the possession of persons sitting in the vehicle.
The arrested notorious heroin peddlers have been identified as Ram Kumar @ Rama S/o Kewal Krishan R/o Dunga Hirangar district Kathua, Ashwani Kumar @ Rinku S/o Surinder Kumar R/o Vijaypur, Ajay Kumar @ Aju S/o Bodh Raj R/o Vijaypur and Deepak Slathia @ Deepu S/o Shiv Dev Singh R/o Vijaypur. The arrested heroin peddlers are notorious criminals and are involved in number of criminal cases.
A case FIR No. 63/2024 U/S 8/21/22/29/60 NDPS Act has been registered against them at Police Station Vijaypur and investigation started.
