KATHUA; 09 DEC: J&K Police Kathua under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua Ms. Mohita Sharma IPS apprehended Pradeep Ambedkariya who was involved in various criminal/anti social activities and booked under Public Safety Act 1978( PSA).On 09/12/2025 Police team led by SHO PS Kathua Insp. Sandeep Chib assisted by IC PP Nagri PSI Ravinder Thakur under the close supervision of DySP Hqrs Kathua Sh. Ravinder Singh apprehended one person namely Pardeep Ambedkari S/o Sansar Singh R/o Ward No. 07 Kathua A/P Village Chack Desa Singh Kathua Tehsil & District Kathua who is a habitual criminal involved in various illegal activities. He was involved in disturbing the law and order of district by making provocative speeches and hurting religious sentiments.The details of cases registered against him are: 1. FIR NO 334/2024 U/S 126(2)/191(2) BNS PS Kathua.2. FIR NO 37/2025 U/S126(2)/191(2)/270/ BNS PS Kathua.3. FIR NO 95/2025U/S 126(2)/191(2)/351(2)/352/BNS PS Kathua.4. FIR NO 486/2025 U/S 299/BNS PS Kathua.Besides these FIRs there are certain adverse reports also registered against him at PS Kathua.In order to prevent his illegal activities within the district, a “Dossier” was prepared against the accused person and sent to District Magistrate Kathua for his detention under Public Safety Act- 1978 (PSA). Accordingly District Magistrate Kathua issued a detention warrant against the accused person under the Public Safety Act 1978. Subsequently, warrant in respect of Pardeep Ambedkari S/o Sansar Singh R/o Ward No. 07 Kathua A/P Chack Desa Singh Kathua was executed today and he was lodged in District Jail Udhampur.Pardeep Ambdekari is the same person who used outrageous words against “Lord Shree Rama & Sanatan Dharam” and uploaded it on Social Media thereby hurting religious sentiments of people.Locals of Kathua District have appreciated the initiative of J&K Police Kathua.
