Samba: November 27, 2025: Continuing its drive against drug smugglers and peddlers, Samba Police has arrested two drug peddlers in the jurisdiction of Police Station Vijaypur and recovered approximately 15.25 grams heroin like substance alongwith cash of rupees 14000.00 from their possession.
A Police team of Police Station Vijaypur, during naka established at underpass NHW-44 near AIIMS Vijaypur, intercepted an Exter car bearing registration No. JK11G-9902 for checking which was coming from Rakh Barotian side and moving towards NHW-44. During frisking, approximately 15.25 grams heroin like substance and cash of rupees 14000.00 were recovered from the possession of two persons travelling in the said car.
The drug peddlers identified as Mohd Rizwan S/o Mohd Lukman R/o Kayiana tehsil Thana Mandi district Rajouri and Arfan Ahmed Mirza S/o Khalil Ahmed Mirza R/o Behorte tehsil Thana Mandi district Rajouri have been arrested and the contraband item alongwith cash has been seized. The vehicle used in the offence has also been seized by the Police in the instant case.
A case FIR No 133/2025 U/S 8/21/22/25/29 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Vijaypur and investigation started.
