SRO crosses another milestone; Gaganyaan readiness gets boost with successful IADT-02: Dr Jitendra Singh

New Delhi, Apr 10 : Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr Jitendra Singh on Friday congratulated the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) for the successful conduct of the second Integrated Air Drop Test (IADT-02) for the Gaganyaan mission.

Union minister in a post as per the test was carried out at the Satish Dhawan Space Station in Sriharikota, marking a significant milestone in the country’s march towards space exploration.

“This is yet another testament to the relentless efforts of our scientists. The successful IADT-02 brings us closer to the readiness of the Gaganyaan mission,” Dr Singh said.

Notably, the Gaganyaan mission is India’s first indigenous human spaceflight program designed to launch a 3-member crew into a 400 km orbit for up to three days and safely return them to Earth. Led by ISRO, it aims to demonstrate human spaceflight capabilities, develop key technologies, and lay the foundation for sustained human space exploration.
