In an intelligence-based joint operation with Jammu and Kashmir Police, alert troops of the White Knight Corps established contact with terrorists in the general area of Chhatru during the early morning hours yesterday. A fierce exchange of fire took place between the security forces and the terrorists.
According to official sources, the operation is still in progress, and additional reinforcements have been rushed to the area to prevent any escape attempt. More details are awaited.
