MLA Surjeet Singh Slathia Inaugurates Newly Constructed Nullah in Chak Manga Rakwal Samba: Slammed local leaders

Samba (J&K): MLA Surjeet Singh Slathia on Monday inaugurated a newly constructed Nullah in Chak Manga Rakwal area of Samba constituency, marking a significant step towards improving local drainage and infrastructure.

Speaking on the occasion, Slathia highlighted the importance of the project for the residents, saying it would help mitigate waterlogging issues and enhance sanitation in the area. He emphasized that the development work reflects the government’s commitment to addressing basic infrastructure needs in rural and semi-urban pockets. It is pertinent to mention here that this area was facing problem of waterlogging due to no channel to regulate the flow of water especially during the floods. The flood water goes in the house houses of the people and the administration has to shift the people residing in this area to community halls are other places during the floods. This project of 2 crore 6 lakh rupees is of immense importance for the people of this area because now they don’t have to shift to safer places in floods.

The MLA strongly slammed opposition local leaders for allegedly obstructing the project during its planning and execution phases. “Despite consistent hurdles created by certain opposition elements, we have successfully completed this vital infrastructure project for the welfare of the people,” Slathia said. He said

He accused the opposition of indulging in negative politics instead of supporting developmental initiatives.

The people of Samba have rejected such obstructive tactics and reposed faith in the BJP’s development agenda,” he added.

Local residents welcomed the inauguration and expressed gratitude to the MLA for his efforts in getting the Nullah constructed. Several panchayat representatives and party workers were present during the event.

This project is part of ongoing efforts to upgrade civic amenities in the Samba Assembly constituency. Slathia assured that more such developmental works would be taken up in the coming months.
